How do I use wthax.org?
If it hasn't been obvious for one reason or another, wthax.org is an image uploading service developed specifically with the intention of being used by the members of boards.ie (though usage is not restricted to boards.ie).Are there any restrictions?
Anyone can upload to and link from wthax.org, although certain restrictions have been placed on "spammy" geographical locations, and as per the Terms of Service, wthax.org reserves the right to suspend access or remove files for any reason at all. You'll notice that your images aren't watermarked, there's no advertisements, popups, etc. Wthax.org is supposed to be as simple a service for uploading images as there can be, with minimal interference. If you want a place to upload random pictures without having to think too hard about it, this is the website for you. If you want a place to store your photography collection, we recommend pix.ie.
What's the catch?
The catch is that the images are public and they can be deleted/changed at any time, for any reason. Most of the time though, once images go up they'll probably stay up for a long time. See the Terms of Service for a more comprehensive explanation. If you're running a large forum or website that is not publicly accessible and are using the service, we'd appreciate access. If it's a small site and usage is low, that's fine.
Who can access the images?
Anyone (who isn't blocked from wthax.org entirely) can see any image on the site. All images are public. If there is an image of you or proveably owned by you on wthax.org that you wish to have removed, you can drop us a mail at support@wthax.org asking for it to be removed and with a link to the image. If you need to control who sees the images you upload, please use a different service.I am angry/happy/sad and want you to know!
*sigh* ok - if you want to contact wthax.org privately, you can do so by sending a mail to support@wthax.orgIf you're just curious or have an idle question, you can use the wthax.org thread on boards.ie.
